Most men who say their life is not working have never looked at which part of it is not working. They say the whole thing is broken because one thing is — usually the job — and the ripple runs until a man cannot tell a bad career from a bad life. Patrick Francey breaks it into seven areas and makes a man answer for each separately, because you cannot fix what you have not named.
What he lands on is that integrity is structural, not moral. A bridge has structural integrity; when it degrades, the bridge comes down. A man's core values are that structure. Operate out of alignment with them long enough and the collapse shows up as stress, failing relationships, work that stops working — and most men will blame anything but the misalignment. Francey's harder point is that many men do not know their top five values at all, and are quietly living out values their parents installed. The work he does now he no longer calls mindset. Mindset is how you handle what is outside you. Self-mastery is an inside job — hidden beliefs, old traumas, and the willingness to be misunderstood by people who liked the previous version of you. Change has a price: relationships drift, careers end, and sometimes the people closest to you do not come with you.
Patrick Francey has been an entrepreneur since the late 1970s. He bought into and now leads the Real Estate Investment Network, hosts The Everyday Millionaire podcast, and still owns the specialty retail business he started in 1982 — now in its forty-third year, run by a team so well trained he can walk his own shop floor unrecognised. He coaches business owners and turns away the ones who are not coachable, regardless of the cheque.
