Every man in a long-term relationship has felt it — the slow erosion of his own judgment, his own direction, his own life, replaced by someone else's agenda. Rob Arpa brought a name for it to this conversation: the Eve disease. The innate drive in women toward total control over their man. Not something learned. Something deeper than that.
Rob came across the concept through a pastor who framed it plainly: the sign of a woman worth building a life with is not the absence of this drive but her active choice to keep it in check. Because when a man surrenders fully, she gets what she thinks she wants — and then the resentment sets in. Nicky knows this from his own life. The moment he pushed back, things shifted. The moment he didn't, they didn't.
